This weekend at the tournament we were treated to something special and rare in baseball. A player that can bring the team together and help them relax and have fun. Ultimately it doesn't matter if you win or loose, but that you have fun. Baseball is a game and games are suppose to be fun. Otherwise you wouldn't play them. So, without further ado I give you one special player who brought the team together and infused fun into the game. MARIO!

Last Friday and Saturday Kade's super league team participated in a tournament in Pocatello, ID. It was a really fun trip. We lost all four games we played. However, the trip was still fun and the boys learned a lot about baseball. The had time to bond as a team and learn to trust each other. They all played great. As soon as we round the corner and solidify as a team, we are going to be impossible to beat.

Kade did amazing today. He was walked and then proceeded to steal three straight bases and make it home to score. Then his next at bat he was the 9th batter and worked the pitcher to a 2-1 count and then hit an inside the park homerun! It was amazing and the funnest thing to watch. His mom owes him a little bit of money. She promised him some amount if he hit a homerun. Well he finally did.

The Angels lost yesterday. Kade played short-stop most of the game. Cole played third base for 3 innings. Kade went 0 for 0 with 2 bb. Cole went 1 for 2. Cole got a hit in the 5th inning. Cole's hit was key, he looked good at the plate. You can tell he is starting to get a little more comfortable. Kade pitched 1/3 of the 5th inning. Unfortunately the we had already gotten in a hole and he wasn't as affective as usual. Next game is Tuesday. We should have a little more focus after the tough loss. Go Angels!

I forgot to mention Kade plays on two teams this baseball season. The AA and Super League. Tonight his super league team held a hit-a-thon to raise money for new batting helmets and jerseys. Kade went an amazing 25/25. So, if you pledged money look out he is going to be knocking on your door to collect. Take a look at the Helmets and Jerseys. They are pretty spectatular.

Game two is over. They lost 15-5 to the Mets. Kade pitched one inning. He struck out 3 and walk 1. So, if you are counting he now has 7 strikes outs in two games (the innings pitched).

Spring is here and with that comes baseball! Kade is playing in the Taylorsville Little League. Here are a couple pictures of his first game this season. He is a pitcher. He did a great job his first game. He pitched two innings and struke out 4 kids!
